The Angolan Hairy Bat was discovered by Thomas in 1912. It lives in South Africa in Angola, Mossamedes. It is currently (2003) listed as a vulnerable species of bat.There has been very little research conducted on this particular bat.They are thought to feed on insects, but also other food types such as fruit and seeds
